I love my family!

What about this little girl wouldn't make you smile. Madi really makes me laugh. She almost always happy. She loves to learn and is always reading. I am so blessed to have her as my oldest daughter. Despite the learning curve for my first child, I think she is one great kid.

Here is Owen, he is cute I know. Don't be fooled by his innocent face.
He is a busy BOY! He is such a happy kid, I have enjoyed getting to know him. He is quite different from my girls. Smart, funny and always on the move. Nothing is off limits to him.
I love having this boy in our home.

This is another of my three angels I think she is such a beautiful girl I am so glad to be her mother. Eleanor has such a wonderful loving spirit about her. It doesn't take much to break her sweet little heart, but from her it doesn't take much to touch yours. Anyone who meets her would have to agree.Brian and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary on August 10th. Brian planned an evening in Deer Valley to watch the Utah Symphony. They performed Peter and the Wolf. It was such a nice event. We were able to escape for the weekend without children (thanks to my in-laws).
It was nice to spend sometime together alone. I am so grateful to have married such a wonderful man. He works so hard for us, and he allows me to make so many mistakes, he never calls me on them. He is so kind, and he makes me happy. I don't know how he puts up with me, but I am happy that he does. What an adventure we have had so far. I am so excited to be on this journey with him. (The face he is making above was the face I fell in love with, call me crazy!)Love you honey!
This is a typical activity at our house now. Owen has enjoyed his mobility so much (to the demise of his mother). It is so fun to watch him explore and learn how the world works around him.
He has learned to climb and it is not uncommon these days to find him on the table eating a banana skin and all. Or to find him under the table unscrewing the legs. I have answered a distress call when he has been on the second shelf of a book case unable to get down.
I have deemed him the destructor of our home. Anything that he shouldn't do he does, again and again. He has not yet learned to walk, I think he could if he wanted to but why? He is already fast and he is too busy to be slowed down by such a daunting task. I am happy that he is not walking yet, because when he can he will have two hands available to destroy all that he sees.
Madi had her first day of Kindergarten the end of August. This was a bitter sweet day for me. She has really grown to be such a wonderful little girl. I am amazed by her every day.
I am so proud to be her mom.
She is simply loving school. She has been reading for sometime now. So it is bit of a challenge for the teacher to keep her busy. The teacher has been giving her separate homework now, so that she can improve her reading and writing skills. Her teacher has her read the rules and help other kids read in class. I am so glad that she is loving it. I have to admit I do love being able to spend some time with my other two, especially Eleanor. Being the middle of three I haven't been able to give her the attention that she needs. It has been a joy to spend time with her. Not to mention that the house is pretty quiet, though not all the time.

When Madi gets home I have found that I really enjoy being able to talk to Madi about her day and see her excitement with all the she learns and does. It is nice to actually have something to talk to her about. She wasn't in preschool last year so I always knew about her day. But now I am so anxious to hear all about what I was not there to see. It has brought us closer.

This is a very short video of Owen crawling out side. I tried to catch him but he kept stopping to look at me recording so I had to wait until he didn't see me. He is very good at crawling but he hates putting his knees down outside. I think he looks like a little stink bug.

NEW BLOG, "DIARIES OF AN AT HOME MOM"

I have decided to started another blog entitled Diaries of an At Home Mom.
This is for me to write my successes and struggles of being an at home mom.
I felt inspired to start this blog while reading Dr. Laura's Book: "In Praise of Stay-At- Home Moms." Feel free to look it over and make comments as I think that this will help me and all of us who are trying to be a "MOMMY" in this world.

A NEW BLOG ALREADY! HUH?

Yes, I am doing a blog, right after I just did one. Crazy HUH?
No--I don't have a fever, I just had to share some of these special moments.

We went to the Rodeo, and our girls were so good. They had such a wonderful time.
It was 4 hours long, they did great considering that.
I decided that they needed some cowboy hats before we went, so I ran to DI right before we went. I found what I needed, 5 hats. I didn't think that Brian and I should wear them, we didn't want to make fun of any real cowboys. But kids in cowboy hats CUTE!

Madi had swimming lessons and did very well, she really enjoyed them and was able to take them with one of her best friends, this was a good thing for her.
She passed level one and is now very brave in the water. She was jumping off of the diving board by the end of lessons. I am so proud of her.

Owen has decided that anytime any cupboards are open that is an invitation to him.
"Come see, you may have it, you may enjoy what ever you see, it is yours" I am sure he thinks that is what I am saying, he is fast to move on any open cupboards. It won't be long before he can open them himself. YIKES!

In This picture he decided that I need to bake him.
He is making a face in this one. This is his version of a funny face. (Hard to catch on camera I felt lucky to have this one.)

Now the pictures of all pictures.
Let me preface this one:
Brian has been working long hours on his trips and is always very sleepy.
He fell asleep while I was getting dinner ready and I couldn't resist.

Yes, I painted his toenails!
A few days later I removed the polish.
(After all I didn't want to be seen with a man with painted toenails. How embarassing to me.)
I may have started a war! Let's just say that I may sleep a lot less soundly from now on!

A NEW HOUSE OF GIGGLES AND LAUGHS!

OKAY, It is about time. I am so far behind it is incredible...After the play, we decided to buy a house! We did! This would be the number one reason for the incredible gap of time with my blog. We have one! We love it. We are moved in and have been in our house for a couple of weeks now! During this time consuming event we had three birthdays! Mother's Day and Father's day! What a lot to do!

Eleanor turned three June 1st. I must confess I shed a tear when she did!
I thought I needed to share a funny story.
Eleanor is now fully potty trained save night time.

She was in PJs earlier then usual, so we forgot to put on her pull-ups.
I woke up that morning at 4:30 am to use the bathroom and nearly tripped over a little girl sleeping on the floor. There she was laying on the ground with her knees tucked under her and her little bum in the air. I woke her up, and when she finally woke up I asked her what she was doing.
She said as coherently as if it were the middle of the day, "My bed is wet and my clothes are wet." I then remembered what I had forgotten to do earlier, "Did I forget to put pull-ups on you?" "Yes, you'll never forget to do that again, huh Mom?" "No, I won't!"

I then went up to get her changed, she was shaking from being cold and wet she continued being pretty cheerful (even for 4 in the morning)...."I have the goosebumps, I am so cold mom." I got her changed and asked her why she never got us earlier. This is her true response "I was coming to get Dad but I needed to take a rest so I laid down on the ground and fell asleep."

Given the time I decided not to change her sheets but laid a blanket on the floor and covered her with another blanket. "Mom, you can sleep with me on the floor too, if you want to."
I smiled at her and declined with a kiss, "Daddy will miss me."

I have never had an experience with any child in the wee hours of the morning so calm, humorous and sweet. Most occasions like that consist of mostly trying to calm my child down.
I went back to bed and smiled myself to sleep. What a night!

This is the nature of my sweet Eleanor. She is usually a peaceful loving little girl.
She doesn't like to make anyone upset and is very sensitive to any negativity.
Her big blue eyes melt any one's heart. I am so happy to have her in my family.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NORI!

Owen had his Birthday June 8th.
He Turned one!
He is already quite the handful. He is so busy!
Cute as can be, and always happy! REALLY!
He gets into anything he can reach and follows the girls around everywhere they go.
He is all boy.
I have caught him climbing on almost anything, and into almost everything.
He doesn't know how to walk yet...so I am still in big trouble when that happens.
Look out World Owen is on the Loose!

NOTE: The unraveled toilet paper!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OWEN aka BUBBA-BOO!

I had a birthday June 21st. I turned... (you think I am going to tell!)
I shared it with Father's Day. (Every 7 years!)
So we gave each other a TV and A HOUSE!!!!
Don't think we can top that next year.
We moved in the week of those two celebrations but we did take a break from our unpacking and cleaning and all the joys that come with moving to go on a date.
I surprised Brian by taking him to a roller coaster simulator in the mall! Not as great as the real thing but cheap and no lines in the hot sun! It was fun!
We then went to Sonora Grill were I got a free dinner for my birthday!
OUR day ended up being on a Sunday were Brian and the girls surprised me with a VERY chocolate ice cream cake! It was a good weekend and a GREAT cake!

AND NOW- OUR HOUSE!
Our house is a home built in the 1930s. That makes it quite unique.
In our search for homes we found that most of the homes that we could afford needed work and improvements. With Brian's travels I knew that I did not want to take on projects that would not get finished or would cost us more then we wanted to spend.
SO we stumbled upon the most charming house as we were becoming discouraged with our search. We wondered if we could find anything, so we chose a neighborhood and we saw this house. IT was the right price a good neighborhood and had all that we needed! Talk about Luck (or providence). The house had been on the market only for about 12 hours.
We went in and put an offer down with in the hour! AND we love it!

I want to see pictures you say....OKAY, OKAY!

This is upstairs:

This is Downstairs:

(The bedrooms are not ready for pictures yet! )
I do have to paint two rooms.
The girls' room is blue, they want pink. And Owen's room is Purple and Green.
I need to make his room into well, a boy's room.
Other then that I don't need to paint anything else. I'd say that is great deal!

I did need to add that Madi was in the ward talent show and she HULA HOOPED!
She was amazing and did to the Music 'I get Around' by the beach boys! I wish I had taken pictures she was quite the star! GO MADI!

I am so grateful for the blessing of being a mother.
I am not perfect, but I try.
I do love my children.

Sydney Leaves for Missouri....

Sydney came to our house on Thursday to play and I was glad to be able to see them.
Sadly, the Abshires will be leaving Logan in May.
Our dear friends for the last six years, these two girls have known each other since they were babies.
We will miss you Abshires.
Come see us soon.
THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD

I had the opportunity to play the part of Mary's mother in the LDS production of
Savior of the World
by Ogden East Stake.
It was wonderful.
The experience kept me and my family very very busy
I am still trying to catch up with all that I was unable to do.
But my testimony was strengthened and I was able to share that with many other people
Thanks to all those who came.
I hope you felt the Savior's Love!

WE VISITED THE TULIP FESTIVAL
WHAT CAN I SAY? GORGEOUS!
(IN A GOLF CART TO BOOT!!)

NEED I SAY MORE?

DAYS OF OUR LIVES...Part 2

Part 2
Well...Busy, Crazy and insane am I.
We have been so busy I will have to keep this simple to cover all the events of the last few months.
Spring?

I took these pictures on March 21st, I think.
Right after a week of beautiful sunny weather.
We had over hundreds of robins in the trees in our back yard.
They flew from the tree to the vines and they were there all morning long.
When the snow was gone, so were all the berries from the vines.
I wish I could have captured the beauty of it all.

Baby Animal Day
Tradition, Tradition.

We had a great time.
I love watching my kids faces light up.
The Easter Bunny Comes

May the magic never stop!
(New Dresses Too!)

Eleanor Gets a Tricycle

Madi Gets a Helmet (with Knee and Elbow pads!)

Owen Gets a Box! YAY!
